The engineering behind NTI operator systems.

NTI develops the hardware people use to control, monitor and connect unmanned, robotic and industrial systems. Mechanical design, controls, electronics, power, computing and communications are considered together, whether NTI supplies a complete station or a component within a larger installation.

Rugged Design

Mechanical design begins with how hardware is carried, installed, operated and serviced. Enclosures, mounting and connector access are developed for that physical context.

NTI designs for mechanical stress and environmental exposure, including vibration, dust, moisture and temperature. The applicable limits and test conditions are defined by each product’s published specification.

Human–Machine Interface

NTI designs physical controls around the operator’s tasks: where the hands rest, which inputs are needed and what information must remain visible.

Joysticks, grips, buttons, switches and touch input can be combined with display placement and control mapping. The layout varies by product and application.

Electronics & Power Architecture

Power architecture connects the input source with computing, displays and controls. NTI engineers conversion, protection and distribution around the selected product and connected loads.

The architecture is selected around the connected loads and intended supply. Supported input ranges, power options and protections depend on the product and its approved configuration.

Connectivity & Interfaces

Controls, video and data need defined paths between the operator, radios, payloads, computers and the platform. NTI engineers these connections as parts of the system.

Across the portfolio, NTI works with interfaces such as USB, Ethernet, video and serial connections, alongside radio integration and project-specific I/O. The available ports and protocols are confirmed for each model.

Computing

Rugged Computing

Computing can be integrated into a ground control station or supplied as a separate rugged platform for a vehicle, console or field installation.

NTI brings processing, storage, displays and external interfaces into the operator environment. Supported software, performance and connections depend on the selected product and configuration.

Configuration

Modularity & Customization

Different programs call for different controls, radios, connectors, mounting and computing. NTI starts with its product families and configures or engineers the interfaces the application requires.

The result may be a configured product or a project-specific assembly. Mechanical, electrical and software decisions are considered together so the operator interface works as a system.

Radio & RF Integration

NTI integrates selected third-party radios into operator systems and separate installations. The enclosure, power and data wiring, RF path, antennas and mounting are matched to the radio and its intended use.

Testing & Reliability

NTI reviews hardware functions and carries out mechanical or environmental testing where required by the product and application.

Test methods, limits and evidence are specific to the model and project. Product documents identify published specifications; additional verification information can be requested for the chosen configuration.
